Models DL1030, DL1060, DL1030P, and DL1060P — All Supported with CSI Works Barcode Parsers
Question
A specialty grocer is considering one of four Detecto DL Series scales for use with Clover POS. Their choices include the DL1030, DL1060, DL1030P, and DL1060P. The customer wants to confirm compatibility, but they aren’t sure which barcode format these models use. They also want to understand the difference between these models and whether it affects Clover integration. Will any of them work, and what CSI Works app should be used?
Answer
Yes—all four models in the Detecto DL Series are compatible with Clover POS when used with the appropriate CSI Works barcode parser app: either the Variable Price Barcode Parser or the Weight Embedded Barcode Parser.
The key isn’t the specific model—but how the barcode is programmed: does it contain total price or total weight?
All models in the DL Series function identically when it comes to printing barcodes. The differences are:
Model | Max Capacity | Display Type |
---|---|---|
DL1030 | 30 lb | Bench Dual Display |
DL1060 | 60 lb | Bench Dual Display |
DL1030P | 30 lb | Pole Dual Display |
DL1060P | 60 lb | Pole Dual Display |
Barcode Format | Use This CSI Works App |
---|---|
Barcode contains total price | Variable Price Barcode Parser |
Barcode contains total weight | Weight Embedded Barcode Parser |
That’s completely fine. Here's how to check:
Print a label from your DL Series scale.
Look at what’s embedded in the barcode: does it represent price or weight?
Not sure? Email us a photo of the label and we’ll confirm for you.
For seamless scanning, make sure:
Items in Clover Inventory are set up as Variable Price Type
The Product Code field (not SKU) matches the PLU used in the scale
Install the correct CSI Works barcode parser app based on barcode format
With this setup, a single scan will automatically input the product and correct amount at checkout.
With Pole Display (DL1030P / DL1060P):
Without Pole Display (DL1030 / DL1060):
Both versions feature dual-sided displays—one for the merchant and one for the customer—and are well-suited for retail environments requiring clarity and accuracy.
