How do I know if I setup my Items correct if my barcode scanner does not pick them up when I try to scan

Use Case:
      At first it looked like a meat merchant needed help with setting up fixed priced items with suppliers barcodes and no price embedded barcodes. But then it quickly became obvious that we are dealing with fault            
      barcode scanner. Here is how we arrived at this conclusion.

Meat Retailer: 
      I own Meat Shop, Currently we use your Variable Price Barcode Parser app for scanning barcodes from products through our CAS scales.  However, I was wondering if there was also a way to use on product that we       purchased to be resold for example like canned goods, that come with a SKU from their supplier.  Is it possible to be able to scan the barcodes our scanner creates as well as use the barcodes that come in on product
      we re-sell?  If so how does that work? Please let me know.

      From what I understood you are looking for a way to scan a can of coca cola for example while checking out. If this is what you are looking for here is a quick video that provides instructions on how to setup Items in       Clover Inventory and then be able to scan the during checkout. That is certainly possible. I can provide a few videos for you to review.

Meat Retailer: 

      I got my barcodes in for my resell items, however, one of my scanners isn't recognizing the item. If I select barcode on Clover and do the picture it will recognize it but not the actual scanner.  I went to the settings on       that clover vs my other clover with scanner and the settings on the barcode app from what I can see are the same.  Where do I go from here? The scanner will scan the items from the barcode from the scale, but             doesn't even recognize or pull up an item if I were to scan like a canned good that I put in yesterday from your video.  From your videos, I learned I needed that item to be fixed not per unit like the scale barcode needs       it set up as.  

      So, when I scan using the CAS scale barcode the item comes up just fine on the clover.  When I scan the canned good that I am reselling it doesn't pop up anything on the screen at all on clover, you can click scan             over and over and nothing pops up of that item.  You can click the button and it will beep but nothing comes up.  Then if I select take a pic of barcode off clover it will work that way.  Now if I want to add an item in             and I already have the item in clover and just need to add the product code.  It scans it and lets me save it in clover.  But then if I go to "ring up" that item and scan it in the register nothing pops up.  My other scanner       on my other device works fine both ways.  So just one scanner having a mind of its own, I guess.

      This confirms that issue is with barcode scanner. Since the built in camera works, other barcode scanner works and only this one barcode scanner does not work we reccomend reaching out to Clover directly to      
      support the scanner.
