How to Integrate Ishida UNI-3 L2 Scale with Clover
Weight Embedded Barcode Parser and/or Variable Price Barcode Parser
Question
A merchant is using an Ishida Model UNI-3 L2
scale to print labels and integrate with their Clover Station. They need to determine compatibility and understand how to configure Clover inventory to correctly process weight-embedded or price-embedded barcodes.
The Ishida UNI-3 L2 can work with Clover using either Weight Embedded Barcode Parser or Variable Price Barcode Parser, depending on how the barcode is structured.
Identify Barcode Format from the Scale
- If the barcode’s last digits represent weight, install Weight Embedded Barcode Parser.
- If the barcode’s last digits represent price, install Variable Price Barcode Parser
.
Setup for Weight-Embedded Barcodes (Weight in the last digits of barcode)
- Install Weight Embedded Barcode Parser.
- Go to Device Settings → Accessibility and enable the app.
- In Clover Inventory, set the item’s price as "Per Unit" and use the first 6 digits of the barcode
as the product code.
Setup for Price-Embedded Barcodes (Price in the last digits of barcode)
- Install Variable Price Barcode Parser.
- Go to Device Settings → Accessibility and enable the app.
- In Clover Inventory, set the item’s price as "Variable" and use the first 6 digits of the barcode
as the product code.
By ensuring the correct setup, the Ishida UNI-3 L2 can seamlessly integrate with Clover, allowing merchants to scan barcodes and automatically process transactions.
