Initial setup Altria Multi-Pack or Multi-Can Discount - How To

Products Discussed: Discount Scheduler for Altria Tobacco Scan Data.

Use Case: You have been sending tobacco scan data weekly reports to Altria Group. Now its the time to begin issuing the Multi-Pack and/or Multi-Can Discounts.
You already know what discounts you need to setup and in your case it could be (an example)
      Marlboro Multi-Pack
      Helix On! Multi-Can
      USSTC Multi-Can

Written Steps to Setup Multi-Pack and/or Multi-Can Discounts in Discount Scheduler

If you need to install the app for the first time Open "App Market" and search for Discount Scheduler. This step can be completed on any clover device.

When you find the Discount Scheduler app hit "Connect" and Choose "Free with Scan Data" price plan. Once the app is installed the button will switch to "Open".






 









Open the app on any Clover device by clicking open while still in App Market -->

Open the app by locating it and clicking on the icon for Discount Scheduler on your Clover home screen  -->

Click on the small Plus sign at the bottom corner of the screen.


This screen has a total of 8 steps. Please follow the steps in this chronological order (go step by step)

  1. Provide the name of the discount. This is for you and customers to see the discount name during checkout and on receipt. Altria does not require any specific naming. If you are doing Multi-pack setup for Marlboro you can name it Marlboro mp (for Multi-pack) or if you are doing Helix On! you can call it on! multi can. (Name is entirely up to you.)

  2. Make sure that checkbox for "Scan Data" is checked.

  3. Make sure that checkbox for "All Day Event" is checked.

  4. Make Sure that checkbox for "Recurring" is checked.

  5. In Duration type in 24 and change m to h (to indicate hours) Note: this will later convert to minutes on its own. Its OK.

  6. In Discount Recurrence make sure it says recur every 1 week and every day of the week is selected. Also ensure that "No End" is selected.

  7. Enter discount amount.  (Note Altria allows for setup of these both scenarios. You welcome to setup either way:)
    1. Trigger Type: discount on all items after first __
      (if you intend to setup this way then in dollar amount enter the dollar off for each item)

    2. Trigger Type: discount every _ item
      (If you intend to setup this way then in dollar amount enter the total dollar off for 2 items)

  8. Press Next to continue.



This screen has a total of 6 steps. Please follow the steps in this chronological order (go step by step)

  1. In Select Scan Data Program Choose "Altria"

  2. In Match or Mix choose Mix.

  3. Choose Account Funded (Multi Can Discount)

  4. In this step you have a few options. If In in the previous screen in step 7

    1. You entered amount totaling discount on each item

      1. then in step 4 on this screen you will use "Trigger on all items after first" and place a "2" in the entry.

      2. then in step 5 make sure that checkbox for "Altria Single Pack Offer" is checked.
        Note: This is to accommodate for the fact that you'd be triggering discounts on odd numbers like 3 and 5 and 7. which will result in some single pack offers.




        or


    2. You entered amount totaling discount for two items
      1. Then in step 4 of this screen you will use "Trigger on every" and you will enter 2 for items.

      2. Then in step 5 you will not select checkbox for "Altria Single Pack Offer" because you are triggering discounts in increments of 2 and no odd numbers are involved.

  5. Step 5 is described above.

  6. Press Next.

This screen is Item selection screen. There are only three steps.

  1. Navigate to the category where desired items are located. if your items are not categorized navigate to "Without Category"

  2. Select Items that participate in your discount. For each discount you are setting up you need to assign the items corresponding to that brand. Phillip Morris is for all Marlboro Items. Helix is for On! items and USSTC is for Copenhagen, Red Seal Etc.

  3. Click Save.


That is it. Once the discount is saved you should see the screen corresponding to this one -->















Next step would be to open Register App in Clover and scan any items that are participating in this discount and make sure its triggering
