1. Direct physical (wired) connection for automatic weight transmission to the POS.
2. Indirect integration via label-printing scales and CSI Works barcode parser apps.

Direct Wired Scale Integration

Clover POS only supports one specific scale model for direct USB cable connection that automatically passes weight data to the Clover system:

• CAS SW-RS (also referred to as SW-20 or similar variants in the series, with capacities like 20 lbs).
• This is the sole model that physically integrates with Clover devices via USB—no other scale brands or models support this direct wired interaction.
• The CAS SW-RS is compact, easy to clean, and supports switching between pounds, grams, ounces, and kilograms.
• It is ideal for scenarios requiring seamless, real-time weight input without manual entry or barcode scanning.
• CSI Works provides setup guidance, testing videos, and related apps (e.g., Unit Tare app compatibility for certain features).

If your prospect requires direct scale-to-POS connectivity (as in their current non-Clover system), the CAS SW-RS is the confirmed and accurate choice.

Label-Printing Scale Integration (Alternative Option)

For merchants who prefer or already use label-printing scales (common in grocery, meat, or deli environments), Clover can integrate via CSI Works apps that parse barcodes printed on labels:

• Use the Variable Price Barcode Parser app (from CSI Works) to read price-embedded barcodes generated by the scale.
• Use the Weight Embedded Barcode Parser app to read weight-embedded barcodes.
• These apps allow Clover to interpret the barcode data and apply the correct weight/price during checkout.
• Any brand/model of label-printing scale is compatible as long as it generates standard barcodes with embedded weight or price information.
• CSI Works sells CAS-branded label-printing scales with dual pricing options, but other brands/models work equally well with the barcode parser apps.

This method does not require a direct physical connection to Clover but relies on scanning the printed label at checkout.
