The Weight Embedded Barcode Parser app is designed specifically to enable Clover to read weight-embedded barcodes from scales. Its primary function is to correctly parse the weight data from the barcode and apply it to the transaction in the Clover Register App.

When using this app, your weight-based items should be set up in the Clover Inventory App with the unit of measure as KG. Once set up this way, every sale involving a weight-based item will register the exact weight sold during checkout.

For reporting, the app itself does not generate standalone reports. Instead, all sales data—including the weight (KG) of sold products—is recorded in Clover's native reporting system. This means you can view and extract sales reports through Clover’s reporting tools, which will include the weight measurements per item sold.

If you're looking to analyze weight-based sales over time, you can utilize Clover’s exportable sales reports to track the total KG sold for a specific time period. This data can then be further analyzed using spreadsheet tools or third-party reporting applications.
